Mountain Man Paddle Co. was born from a dream to ditch the desk and live where the wild things are — in the rivers, forests, and backroads of Michigan. After 13 years in the corporate grind, we walked away, bought a bus, and started chasing adventure instead of deadlines.
What started as a simple kayak trailer turned into a full-blown mission: get more people outside, get them on the water, and make it as easy as possible to float, paddle, and unplug.
Meet Cougar - our Namesake
Mountain Man Paddle Co. is named after Cougar, our best friend, travel buddy, and river co-pilot. For over 7 years, he’s been right there on every trail, launch, and lakeside campfire. You’ll probably meet him when you rent — he’ll be the one stealing the show.
